A Hijackthis analysis of your PC may come up with the a file called msupdate32.dll which is stored in your Windows\System32 directory. This file is part of the JupDrop-A trojan and should be considered malicious! To remove this virus, you should install an anti-virus program, and go through the tips in our Get Rid of Spyware guide. Hijackthis can remove the entry (see Step 5 in the guide), but once you have removed it, you will need to reboot your PC in safe mode and delete the file (usually C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\msupdate32.dll). |
