Every browser uses a different method to word wrap text. This can be especially frustrating when you are displaying text with a pre tag. After much research I found a css snippet that will do the job in all browsers.
pre { overflow-x: auto; /* Use horizontal scroller if needed; for Firefox 2, not needed in Firefox 3 */ white-space: pre-wrap; /* css-3 */ white-space: -moz-pre-wrap !important; /* Mozilla, since 1999 */ white-space: -pre-wrap; /* Opera 4-6 */ white-space: -o-pre-wrap; /* Opera 7 */ word-wrap: break-word; /* Internet Explorer 5.5+ */ } Thank you to T. Longren for posting this information on the Unwakeable Blog.
