Sad I have a computer with an intel 82801EB ultra ATA storage controller and I want to know what would be the fastest hard drive I can install on this system.

The speed of the hard drive is influenced by the spin rate, the size of the cache and the actual ATA rating. I believe ATA 133 with a spin rate of 7200 and a cache of 8mb is typically what you will find. If you find a faster spin rate or a bigger cache, it should be faster- but often there are other bottle necks that prevent one piece of hardware from operating at top speed. Charlie
