Well, its a start.
the reason i ask who your ISP is was because some ISP's have certain ports blocked for some download programs.
Does this happen when you leave the program to download? or is it something that happens everytime you download, at the end of the song being downloaded without fail even if your browsing the internet?
Some of these programs have a setting that includes "log off once download completes" to save cost with dial up connections, may be worth checking the programs settings to see if this is the case.
One more thing....
you do realise most of the songs on there are copywrited, and in certain countrys (like the UK) is is illegal to download such copywrited material?
Having said that, there are some artists that use these programs to get "free" copies of their work out there, and i'll assume this is what your downloading
The other thing that could be happening here is your power saving settings.
if your leaving your computer for a while unnattended, the settings may state the network connection is terminated after a period of inactivity.
One bit of advice... run your virus scanner over any files you download before you open them, P2P download programs are notorious for spreading viruses! |

Are you running a wireless router to connect both PCs to the internet? If so, I'm wondering if you need a firmware update. There have been known problems with limewire and some routers filtering (or unable to filter because of the firewall firmware version). It could also be your ISP (internet service provider) filtering/blocking that kind of traffic. Who is that by the way?
First step, update firmware on wireless router. If that doesn't seem to fix the problem then take a look at your contract with your ISP and see if they have anything listed about blocking/filtering P2P traffic.
