Firefox Bookmark Stopped Working

I swapped to Firefox from Netscape not long after Firefox was out. For months (years) I have gone to a particular site. Suddenly the site won't let me in. I get the intro screen, then accept the conditions of the site and then get a message that I can't get in. I thought the problem was in the site, so I called and was assured that they were up and running. The guy who I talked to said that it was my browser. I tried IE and it gets me in. What could change the settings for Firefox so that it won't work for some sites? Kind of a minor problem in the grand scheme of things.

also try a cookie cleanup, perhaps using the program ccleaner.... sounds like a cookie corruption to me...
