Everything won't work:(

Hello,
Today around 4:30. I turned on my computer and I went into another room to get something and when I came back my computer looked like it was in safe mode but it looked really blurry and everything was really big. And a sign was up and it said "User Information". That sign only came up when I first got my computer (which was a while ago). Anyway... I restarted my computer and it said something about it was backing up my files. Can someone tell me what caused my computer to back up?
Also.. Nothing is opening, Everytime I click on a icon it said something is wrong with it. Can anyone tell me what's going on with my computer? Crying or Very sad

Would really help is for you would tell what the operating system was?

Do you have an antivirus and firewall up and running before this problem?

It sounds like you have a virus or a trojan and someone is playing games.
When so many things go wrong there really is one solution and that is reformat and reinstall everything except anything you may have downloaded using kazaa or such.
You can still save data by booting into safe mode
