This is not a question, just wanted to pass this along as another tool for the old tool box, when trying to recover deleted files. It is brought to you by the fine folks that created Ccleaner, that a lot of us use.

http://www.recuva.com/

It is a BETA program, but unlike many BETA programs, there is support if you have questions. They even have a forum, for questions and answers.

The program is absolutely tiny, about 300 K. The only draw back I see is that it is almost to good Wink It finds everything that has been deleted, be it temporary files, dll's, jpegs, etc and tells you whether or not your chances of recovering it. We have in the past recommend programs like PC Inspector, for file recovery, it is a 6MB down load.

I have tried other file recovery programs, generally they work, but they are slow. This program is blazing fast, loads in a few seconds. I have tried on a couple of external drives with zero problems. I was able to restore about 200 MB in about 1 minute.
