I know a few of the members around have been wanting to IM each other or some other form of contact besides the forums. Most of them are using Skype which is really good stuff but I thought since I'm testing something out for a client maybe if anyone was interested i'd set up something for the users here also so what I did was setup an OpenFire server that uses the jabber protocol for IM. If you'd like a password just PM me and tell me the password you'd like. your username will be the same username that you have on the forums.

To connect, you will need to download the Spark IM client from Ignite Realtime. You can download that here: http://www.igniterealtime.org/downloads/index.jsp . When you go to logon it'll ask for a username/password which will be setup when you PM me. It'll also ask for a server address which is "partie-im.dnsalias.net". After I get done with the client testing I may transfer over the VOIP capability to the one that's setup for users here.
