I'm in the market to buy a used truck. I've been looking around for a decent, free advice site. I'm pretty leery so far, don't know who to trust. Can y'all recommend anyone? If you want to know what I'm after, it's this: do I go to a dealership or seek out a private owner? What are your experiences?

I live in England where most of the cars sold by dealers are high priced, private sales are cheaper; but with no warranty. Ebay is a good place here to buy a car- some good deals available. I know people who have bought on Ebay and did well on the deal, auctions are another option but be careful
I bought a big Ford at one auction when I had a good look at it- it was rotten as a bad apple, but I was young and knew no better I should have checked it, good luck with your buy.cheers

I think the only real advantage a dealer might bring to the table is a really pretty cleaned up vehicle. I would hope that I will not encounter problems with a private seller. I'm getting rather impatient and that is not a good sign at all. I'll have to put it off for now or I'll make a choice I may regret. Thanks fella. Love your music. Led Zeppelin rocks!
