Hello all,

I am not exactly an html or webdesign genius and that is ok by me, but I do like helping people when I can. Therefore, I have made a small tutorial on the use of Lavasoft's Ad-aware 6.0 in the hopes it can at least help one person along the way who may be plagued with spyware or adware. This webpage is not meant to promote anything commercial but just to be used as a guide for the new user to get acquainted with the proper use of the program (updating being the most important). Well, without further explanation here it is:

Adaware tutorial

I hope this helps anyone who may come across it. Very Happy

FunBard

P.S. If you have any comments on this tutorial, feel free to present it constructively. I will incorporate it into a future tutorial or release of this one. Thank you!

Hi Funbard,

The link isn't working for some reason. If you submit it as a Help2Go story (click on Submit Article/News on the left nav bar) I'd be glad to post it on the front page of the site!

Thanks to both osc and Mich.

I have fixed the error in my post.

Hmm...news section sounds amazing, however I will let you see the link first to let you make your own best judgement (as I provided the wrong url the first time -- DOH!) The page I made is not in article form, but rather with graphics and tables, kinda "pretty" as Mich might say. Again, will let the powers that be decide. Very Happy

Thank you both very much,

FunBard

Looks fantastic!

I'd love to turn it into a Help2Go tutorial as being created by you. If you'd like it as a Help2Go tutorial, it would be under the Creative Commons license (see the button at the VERY bottom of this web page). If you'd rather not, then just let me know (PM or reply here) and I'll post a link to the fluteloop site.

I've had "Create an Ad-aware tutorial" on my to-do list for months, so you've just saved me the effort!

Thanks FunBard!

Very nicely done FunBard, and I'd have to agree with Mich...pretty. Wink

mbeach,

Thanks for your comment! Perhaps my tutorial is pretty because Mich bestowed prettiness on it, she is kinda cute Wink

Actually...much appreciated, thanks again!

Hate to put a damper on things but the free AdAware Ver 6 data has not been updated since June/July and that makes the program near on useless. This happened before when they moved fromVer 5 - 6.
It seems they bring out a version, upgrade it for a while and dump it alltogether when work on a new version starts.
I use SpyBot now as it it updated regularly.
