Hi Osc, just saying... I have had a few people tell me that Community Chat is a bit misleading. They say they expect it to be a chatroom kind of thing... Perhaps something like Miscellaneous Discussion? Is it a pain to do that? Other opinions? _________________ To do is to be - Socrates

It's really easy to change...
Community Discussion?
Any other ideas? _________________ Oscar Sodani

Community Discussion is what I use for my forums. Seems to help seperate it from a general "chat" room and make it more of a place to discuss the Help2Go community and how to make it better. |

I see that the Forum Index is now "Contribtors". I think comments on making the site better should be addressed here also news about new viruses, etc.
I agree that "Chat" is not really good title, hey but that what we started with. Really don't think we want people carrying on conversations here, lots of others places to do that.
Guess you/we all need to decide what limits of what can be talked about here. I was under the impression that basically could be about anything, with reason.
Why don't you start a new topic and let members make suggestions as to a name. Let it run a week and then take a poll. Moderators narrow it down to maybe their favorite ten or so.

These are good suggestions in my opinion, may I suggest that this forum could be called Help2Go News (or for something catchy "News & Views)and the Chat forum as Partie and osc suggest be Community Discussion. Taking a poll as Basment suggests is the democratic way to go too.
That's my 2 cents worth = 1 1/2 cents US

Glyn:
Again you moderators have decide what you will allow. While News and Views has a nice "ring" to it, is that what you are limiting it to? Sounds like most of these post should be under the "Contributors Forum".
Also suggest that Moderators delete all post and related threads that are more than 30 days old, from the start of the original post.

My idea would be to keep it simple:
This forum: "Help2Go Site Forum"
Chat forum: "General Chit-Chat Forum" |

Then there is always "A Place To Talk About Stuff That Has No Bearing On Anything"
Nah that is a name a Government Dept would call it. _________________ Take control of your life. Leave others to control their own. |

What about: 'General Discussion Forum'.
Subtitled: A forum to express your views on non-computer topics.
Not very exciting or catchy but it would sort of explain that the forum was for discussions and comments rather than chat.
