To be honest ... yes

If I've explained something to someone, and then someone else asks the same question, I just give them a link to the post where it's allready been answered, and tell them to read it... but if it's causing problems, I'll copy & paste it.

Also I sometimes tell someone to go to a specific post, read it and download the attachment... I'll copy & past that as well, and give them a direct link to the attachment instead.

No problem... I'll work round it. Very Happy

No problem steam - I'll put it back. After all, this is a forum for humans, not search engines!

Edit:
OK - the link is back Smile
Also, I'm rebuilding the search index for the forum posts> I'm going to let it run overnight, so the forum search should be fully operational by morning...

How do you rate a post now? Am I missing the link/button?

I'm rebuilding the rating system so it's a bit more useful. I should have it ready in a few days (I hope)

The layout for the private messages in Internet Explorer is fixed - please let me know if you see anything I missed in the PM layout.

EDIT: Search layout in the forums is also fixed for the most part.

Looking very modern & professional OSC! I also notice you are doing a lot more tutorials lately, where do you find the time? lol.

One little thing from me...I notice that new topics appear in orange as before. Then once you have read them they turn blue, again as before.....but then any new posts added to that topic turn a slightly different shade of blue wheras these also used to be orange again. I liked the old way better as I think it will be easier to miss a new post when the colour is only slightly different.

It is cool and Good. A couple of days back I got a newsletter from Help2Go. I thought this is a trick by somebody. Without opening it, I deleted it, because Help2Go never send a news letter.
What for a 'Shout Box'. How I will use it.
Now the site is appearing differently. Welcome the Change.
There is still a chance for improvement.
Well done OSC.

Thanks!

The new rating system has been added. Check out
http://www.help2go.com/component/option,com_forum/Itemi d,33/page,viewtopic/t,17409/
for details

vasista - the newsletter was legitimate. It's been almost 2 years since the last newsletter, but one of my new years' resolutions is to stay on top of that and send them out semi-regularly.

Shinobi - I will check into that new post thing. As for the time to do tutorials... I've been working on another major project for the past year or so, and during that time I filed away literally dozens of ideas for H2G tutorials... I'm just now catching up since things are slow for me at work during the holidays Smile

Fixed the issue where members were seeing ads in the tutorials. Smile

Another fix:
The search boxes in the top and side menus now take you to Google. The forum search still works as before.

Seems to be fixed now. I am actually now wondering if I was mistaken about this in the first place. Think I may have got my self confused!
