A customer called and wanted to know if we could put a ppt on a dvd to view on a stand alone dvd player. I searched and the first few search results all lead to this program:
http://www.ppt-to-dvd.com/
Does anyone have any experience with it?

thanks,
Leah

Hi Leah,

A screen recorder like Wink or Camtasia would do the trick. It records what's on your screen to an AVI file or other video file (that's how we recorded some of the tutorials last year).

So you would start recording, then play the Powerpoint presentation. Then just edit the resulting movie file and convert to DVD using normal DVD authoring software.

Hope this helps!

thanks osc!

We actually have a couple of screen capture programs. The only problem is I don't know what on the pwerpoint! ha. I played around with it today (btw, i mean replay screencast from applian) and it works, but the longer it is, the grainier the picture is, especially around the letters.

I don't even know if the customer is going to send it over. I think we quoted it pretty high.

thanks again!
Leah

Try increasing the font size in the PP presentation to 12 point minimum.
