Is this a polite way of saying "abandon hope all ye who post here"?
I'll just have to carry on working, spreading viagra spam around the net. There's really no point in posting here if requests for help just get shut down.

rmcmorran,
People that answer Hijackthis Logs are 'Malware Experts' they have spent months training to be able to assist. Unfortunately because no one is obligated to be here all the time spyware posts don't always get answered. People have things like families, school, jobs, etc. They visit when they have time and answer logs.
People without that training are not allowed to post responses. Hence there being a stickied post at the top of this forum regarding not getting an answer. Perhaps you should have read it.
In a week, your log will have changed significantly. So if you don't get a reply its best to start over if you haven't already posted somewhere else. _________________ To do is to be - Socrates

Yes, thank you, I read the sticky, which is why I followed all the advice, ran the recommended antivirus, CCleaner, antimalware etc etc. in order to help the process along.
I completely understand if there aren't the resources to reply, I was just surprised to find my post simply shut down. I couldn't even reply to post a new log or ask another question.
It feels frustrating, even with the added apology. Perhaps you need to find an alternative way of flagging "forgotten" posts, like requesting a renewed hijack report, rather than just closing the post. Not a big deal, but it might seem less final. |
