I thought it would just be interesting to see what the age range of the members of the forum are.

I have voted and I have told the truth.
Age is a very sore subject with me just now as I'm about to hit 42.
I remember on my 35th birthday being told by my then wife "If, as the bible says, you live for three score and ten years it's all downhill from here". 8O
I'm still not sure why my body has decided that I need less hair on the top of my head but loads of it growing out of my ears!
Regards guy9663.

I have finally worked my way to the last option of the age category (52), now if I could only get to the last option on income. Charlie

I have just viewed the age stats. Seems ike the oldsters have the edge at the moment. Laughing It always struck me odd that when I was younger the older people seemed to have their life well and truly sorted. Now I've arrived it seems the goalpost have been moved again Sad . If the quality of the written word is used as a measure, I suspect the percentage of younger members is increasing. Now if a comment like that isn't an indication of which age group I fall into then nothing is. Razz Cheers all. Bob.

When my wife and I were dating, the age question came up like this. She asked me what year I was born. I gave her the correct answer of 1952. Then I said, "As long as you brought it up, when were you born?" BIG MISTAKE!!
The answer was, "How old do I look?" My guess was 5 years younger than her actual age (something I didn't find out until later), so I lived to see another day. As I said once before, when we got married I was 1 year older than her, now she is 10 years younger. How does that work? Rolling Eyes

I think you handled that pretty well Grim.
When it comes to women and age, all men seem to find themselves on very dangerous ground.
Agree with you Galena. There also seems to be quite a few problems relating to games which I always associate with young'uns.
Guy.

8O Please oh please, do not think of yourselves as old.
Each and everyone of you have life experience and computer knowledge that I can only dream of!!

I am 27 and can't wait to hit THIRTY!!
By then.. I will have some experience to quit doing to stupid things that most 20 somethings normally do. (IE too much tequila on a work night is a bad thing)

Don't wish your life away. It's my big "5 oh" this November. Party invites are going out now - all guide dogs and zimmer frames welcome.

Hang in there FLtechieGirl, I would say it was somewhere in my 40s that I achieved inner peace and tranquillity. That was either when I finally understood the world or when I just didn't care anymore- not sure which. Charlie

Hi FLtechieGirl
Dont think as you get older in some way it stops you doing stupid things, here is an example I have always driven big cars so on my 71st birthday I thought I will get a new Nissan Micra car which would be more easy on gas consumption and other things; cheaper insurance for one. I collected it and hated it almost straight away. I struggled to get in the car as having a big gut does not help, the wife asked if I had had a mental problem and how soon was I going to sell it, well it lasted almost a month. I got a big Toyota which is great, but that stupid mistake cost us hundreds of pounds. I am poised waiting for my next mistake- I should get at least a couple in during the next 20 yrs (I hope) Smile At least if you make mistakes you know you are doing things and not just ticking along Smile Cool Cheers Jim.
