Looks like someone tried to hijack the site tonight -- pretty silly if you ask me. There's nothing of monetary value, and we're apolitical. We just try to help people. The lack of professionalism in the crack makes it seem to me that it was an attack from kids. I guess they have something against help sites???
I have an automated backup system that runs several times a day, so attacks of this kind don't really hurt us much. I think we were back up and running about 5 minutes after I found about it.
I'll be updating some system files tonight, so if you see weirdness, or any other traces of the poorly trained hijackers, please let me know.
Thanks to everyone who alerted me, especially MichT! And don't worry, I have an excellent idea of who was behind it.

I guess computerwiz, that put in different terms, this hijacking was done by a person(s) with an infantile mind(s), as it made no sense to highjack our site. And yes, it goes without saying that some adults too have infantile minds.
I think this thread has come to an end, no more comments need to be made as this happened quite awhile ago. It will now be locked. |
