The Word CANT you used
Are you saying that Whooze is : "an inclination from level/a tilted position/
an expression peculiar to a group." ?
Or did you mean the Can't " A contraction of the word can not" ?
I think minor spelling errors are ok, except when typing web sites/reg entries, etc.
Live with it

hey that's ok, gary.
is there a way to spell check right on this page after i've typed something?
would any of the software on the computer itself be useful for this kind of thing? _________________ Not to rust unburnished, but to shine in use - Tennyson |

It would be nice to have some kind of spell checker, however there are so many tech terms and abreviations I think that the spell checking may well take longer than writing a message. Having said that, minor spellings don't bother me as much as not being able to decipher the message due to abreviated tech talk or just disjointed desciptions. I'm by no means a purist, but accurate and understandable communication does go a long way in getting the help one needs.

I have recently discovered that without a number of typos I could be considered an outcast in the Net world.
It is either that or I just can't find a keyboard that spells.
Here is something to ponder. The brain does not need correct spelling to recognize a word. It reads the 1st and last letter of a word and fills in the rest.

whoozhe's history lesson on spelling. Before the printing press there was no such thing as spelling. Shakspeare actully spelt his name 15 different ways.
With the advent of the printing press some conformity was sought by printers so spelling came into being. The was probably the first real standard for anything.
Funny thing about spelling is the USA changed many of the accepted spelling standards used when they introduced more phonetic spelling. eg Take the word colour. The USA spell it color. The actual proper pronuciation is Ku-ler not ku-lor.
Oh there goes the lesson bell so you can all go to the next lesson which is "What would the roads be like if Microsoft built cars". _________________ Take control of your life. Leave others to control their own. |

There has been a lot of interest in spelling to relation of the internet. Recently it has been classified as a medical addiction " Text Messaging ".
This is not so funny as it sounds but renewed interest has been underway for the same in message programms for the internet eg.. bbl =be back later, lol = Laugh out loud and so on.
These are not mistakes only a new way of typeing and soon for the formation of abbreviated internet related terms
