Hi osc, I know you probably have enough on your plate with all the suggestions that have been made in this forum, so I thought I might as well give you something more to ponder. I was reading one of the posts, Sound? to be precise, and another member or guest asked another question, not related to the specific problem, but did have to do with sound. I answered his question, but advised him that next time he should start a New Topic. The thought occurred to me that there is such a wide variety of questions being asked, and so many posts have been answered that somewhere (as we've seen on many occasions) the answer to someone's question is in there somewhere ... but where? Would there be a way of questions being placed in separate Topics such as Win 95, Win 98, ME, XP, Audio, Video, Software, etc. etc. The topics bar on the bottom is being used for page numbers, which doesn't mean too much to me, but if I could select one of the above noted topics, it might make the repetition of some questions to some extent less frequent. I don't think we could go back and classify the ones already done (it would be quite a task, although if you required help I and I'm sure others would be willing to give it a shot if possible). I know we can do a search, but that's just for the articles (which is great) but there is also a wealth of knowledge in the posts that could be used too. Every post would not have to be included, but just the ones that give a solid knowledge and advice basis.

For your consideration Very Happy

I agree 100% with you Canuck. In the past, I've put some excellent forum topics on the home page as a separate article, as a kind of Best of the Forums thing. The problem is identifying the good topics with good answers that might help others with the same problem.

If you or anyone else believes they have come across such a topic, please give the answer points, and then send me a private message (or post a topic in the Community Forum) with a link to the good topic. I'll then formulate an article and post it to the front page. A great number of our hits come from people finding our articles via a Google search.

If everybody keeps an eye out for these good topics, then we'll be sure to catch them as they pass through the forum.
