When I log in from work the site address is http://www.help2go.com but from home it jumps to http://beta.help2go.com even though I saved it as www in my favorites. How come this happens? Just curious!

It has to do with the DNS, which maps domain names like www.help2go.com to real IP addresses. When we changed servers, we had to point www.help2go.com to our new IP address in the DNS. This change takes time to make its way throughout all of the ISP's DNS servers.

What's happening is that at work, your ISP has the correct info for our domain name. At home, your ISP has the older information, so it goes to our old server, which then redirects you to our new one (under the pseudonum of "beta").

ya, when i got my site, they said it would take several days to get my domain name through the DNS servers. but.... all is good now!
