Hai Friends....
Here is a suggestion...
As in other groups or clubs, why not we display topics on subject wise. Instead of displaying all topics in a board, we can create few more boards, like Virus, Windows, Utilities, Printer Problems, MS Office, download problems....etc., etc.,
Members will post their topics - in the subjectline they mention the message board and little brief of their topic, OR
They click the appropriate message board and post their topic as is done now.
This suggestion may please be examined. It has lot of advantages to every member if implemented.

Vasista.

(Moving this topic to the Community Forum)

In my opinion, the forum is still small enough that one central message board is still the most effective way to view the posts. I'm loathe to split the forum up into lots of different sub-forums because people unfamiliar with the site might get confused as to which sub-forum their question belongs in.

Here we have one place where everybody can visit and see if they have any thing to contribute.

If the members of this community disagree, then I'd like to hear from you! I'm always open to suggestions, but I haven't found the forum to be unwieldly -- yet.

As I mentioned before, if you are looking up a certain subject, use the search on top of this posting, not the one under 'sections'. It's worked for me and solved a few problems without rehashing the problem over & over. For example I can't count the times that whoozhe and I have given the same info on removing a virus from 'restore'. Just type in virus removal and you will get quite a few references, just go through them and find the appropriate one. I have been on sites (including computer companies etc. and it's a dogs dinner trying to figure out their classification .. Microsoft are experts at this! I still can't find out what's wrong with my home network, and am pretty sure it got to be an XP problem!!!) KISS should be the motto! osc .. you're doing a great job ... thanks Very Happy

help2go has been this way since the very beginning, I assume help2go will stay this way until thjere are enough posts and members to switch. techsupportguy.org has like 15 forums, it seems annoying and hard to navigate to me, and thats one of the reasons i like help2go so much, because it makes things simple, easy, and better. some people seem to hate this site, like the hijacckers, i dont know why Sad

OK...Friends...
I got this idea and so I placed it before you all.
I like the forum as you all liked it. Or else I would not have posted messages. Daily I visit this site to learn the things and get my doubts cleared.
I am sorry If I have offended anybody, which is not at all, repeat which is not at all my intention.

Vasista.

Why would you think somebody would be offended Question I certianly was not.

The way I see it over half this site is about ideas, people have problems other have ideas on how to fix them.

Cheers Smile

Absolutely -- no one was offended. Half of the things on this site (including the forums themselves) were because someone made a suggestion on how to improve Help2Go. Keep the suggestions coming! I may not be able to implement all of the suggestions immediately, but please know that if it's a good idea, it will be incorporated into the site eventually.
