Just a quick note to say DVD Decrypter is no longer supported or generally available due to the author being threatened with legal action by Macrovision. The link is now dead, although the most recent version is still available out there if you look hard enough. But be wary of scammers:

All in all probably best to remove this from the list, or at least the link as it is dead anyway.

Win 2K and XP users can try DVD43 (free)

http://www.dvd43.com

Works great for me and requires nothing for me to do, does everything by itself.

Cheers Smile

I had hoped that post number 500 would be a little more memorable and I really didn't expect it to be in the contributors forum. Never mind, here it is.

Sorry I picked up on this a bit late.

CCleaner for registry stuff.
http://www.ccleaner.com/

Zip Genius. Includes 7-Zip and recognises all other types. Also includes a file cutter.

JustZIPit. Tiny bare-bones program. No frills simply does the job.

Please list Firefox as a "must have" web browser. As far as I am concerned nothing better is currently available.
Mozilla is a collection of web tools not just a browser and should, in my humble opinion, be listed as such.
Regards guy9663.

kaspersky is a good program, NOD32 is rated as one of the top AV programs. Comodo appears to be very well rated http://www.matousec.com/projects/firewall-challenge/res ults.php .

There are a number of sites you can look at, do a google search for free anti virus ratings . Here's one http://www.consumersearch.com/www/software/antivirus-so ftware/index.html . Check out a couple and draw your own conclusions.
