Default I used to be good at math

I've got a weird problem here. Last night we went out to Medieval Times. (it was fun by the way). According to my camera/camcorder display, I used up all of my 8 GB memory card. Now I download the photos and videos to my PC and commence to doing some math. It seems I had 63.8 MB of pics and 1.21 GB of video. Am I missing something or do those two figures in no way add up to 8 GB? 63.8 MB translates to .063 GB, right? What am I missing?

Depending on your camera model, it may not support the 8Gb card, only 2Gb, so once the card has 2Gb of data it shows as full. Check out the spec of your camera to see if it says what size card it supports.

Yes, I'm sure that's the problem.
