That's fine as long as you don't mind losing everything else that is on the drive. You can save your data, but programs need to be reinstalled and often the original installation media is not on hand. Charlie

I am running Windows XP and I was in the process of repartitioning when it told me that my hard disk had a "bad sector" I got HDD regenerator and removed the bad sector, used chkdsk in windows and windows recognized the bad sector as gone. But when I went to linux Live it still says that there is a bad sector. So, I used ntfsresize and reduced the partition size to 30G (what I wanted) I reopened QTparted and it refuses to accept that the partition is 30 and also refuses to resize it.
How can I make partitions without QTparted? As it is being stubborn.
Help, Please.

Is this applicable to Server 2003?

I have not tried it with that, so i don't know for sure. Perhaps somebody else is more familiar with Server 2003. Charlie

This article is really old. Mepis is up to version 8 something now. Try using a newer version.
I'm not sure if it still works the same way mind you. Maybe someone else will be able to say if it will...Have I helped you? Please consider making a donation to keep Help2Go running and ad-free
