    Default Function Key Problems

I have an Asus Laptop, Windows XP, with blue Fn keys that stopped working. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to turn this back on? It controls volume, brightness, keyboard, number lock, wifi, etc.

Apologies for the delay in replying. Did the loss of the Fn key coincide with anything else, a new program installation for instance? Have you recently installed any Microsoft updates? In particular, Service Pack 3? If so, you might consider uninstalling it.

You could try going into Device Manager (right click on My Computer, select Properties, Hardware, Device Manager) look for Keyboard in list, right click on it and select Uninstall. Now restart computer. The keyboard will be reinstalled with the necessary drivers.

    Hope that helps.
