    Default t6420 e-machine

    Well now that I have found out that my motherboard is fried need to know what kind of mother board do I need. The people that I sent it to didn't want to tell me .They said that it was not worth fix but I would like to try.

    Really, the advice you were given is correct. You'd have to get a compatible motherboard to accept the other hardware you have, and being an e-machine those components are pretty cheap. The motherboard, if you can find one will cost more than the machine itself. Do yourself a favor, save your money and avoid all the frustration that I know you'll have.

    I will agree with Canuck unless you have experience working with computers and don't mind a challenge. You can use a non-Emachine motherboard and rebuild as a generic computer, but the money is probably better used on a new computer. Charlie
