    Default Internet Connection Problem

I have an HP, that doesnt connect to the internet. I have tried everything i possibly can. I noticed that I can ping xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx, but not www.xxxxxxx.com. I can ping my other computers and i get replies. I tried putting a wireless card and i have the same problem. I do get an IP address and I compared it to my other laptop and everything looks the same.
    Please help!

What type of connection are you using? If a router and cable Modem are use turn those off and on to power cycle them.

What about the firewall have you tried to disable it and then connect.

    Have you tried this:

To clear your DNS cache in Windows XP, at the command prompt, enter:
    ipconfig /flushdns

By using the 'ipconfig /flushdns' command, you delete the contents of the DNS resolver cache, meaning that your system will now recheck its settings to see where it should be going to get DNS addresses.
