Click the Forward button and then highlight what is to be deleted > Delete. Add anything you want and then Send.

    Default eliminating email addresses

Sorry, your suggestion isn't working on my Thunderbird.

If I press forward, highlight, delete-the whole email is deleted from my listing.

    Try, try, again.
    Thanks.

Have you tried just running the cursor over the words you want deleted > left click over the first letter > drag over to the last letter > release left click > delete?
