Default How do I get rid of *.msp files?

One of my XP computers has only a 30GB HDD and 16GB are being consumed by Windows Patch files with an extension of .msp. Is there a way to identify and delete the unnecessary files? Thanks.

I bring your attention to this blog Heath Stewart's Blog : The Patch Cache and Freeing Space read the whole article before removing your .msp files to make sure that is what you want to do.

Additionally, try reading this. It offers a free tool to clean the .msp files out, but take note of the first paragraph!
