Default internet explorer cannot display the webpage

When I want to open a page, I get am. message.
If then I click on refresh, the pages will open, sometimes I need to press the refresh button several times.
I have windows XP home edition, running with IE8.
Please assist in solving this nuisence problem.

Its sounding like a connection problem.

Could you confirm who your ISP is and how you connect? also do you have a 3rd party firewall installed?

My ISP is Maxnet in Thailand.
HowI Connect???
By use of a Router, ADSL/LAN
I use MS firerwall only.

Sorry, i just noticed you say your running Windows XP with IE8.

There has been problems reported with this combination, as IE8 was made for Vista, then 'whittled' to work on XP.

I suggest you uninstall IE8 which will revert back to IE7, see if this solves your problem.

If not, you can easily reinstall IE8.

I tried to install IE7, but still same:
Either get message: link broken, or
Cannot display the webpage.
