iTunes
I'm having trouble with iTunes. I have been buying tunes and songs for some years now and have had no problems. Now the music files seem to be scattered over the hard disk in different folders. The annoying part is that when I try to access the music I have paid for I am informed that the file cannot be located and the offer to locate it invariably fails. Any thoughts? I am using a Dell Latitude laptop with Vista home. Cheers.

It depends on what format your music is in, but you could try a normal search using vista's search, with the search criteria being *.mp3 (star dot mp3).
This will pull up every instance of files ending in .mp3, enabling you to copy them to another folder.
EDIT: Then, once you have them all where you want them, use Duplucate Cleaner (click this text) to delete the duplicate files and save your disk space. (End Edit)
As to exactly why this is happening, i have no idea. i dont use Itunes. SorryPlease Note:

Hi. I have downloaded the duplicate cleaner program and scanned my C drive. Amazed at what came up but I am very nervous about removing the files listed. Is it safe to do so or what precautions should I take? Disappointed with England's performance.

Hi RDL, try this. It may help. If using the search option, include *.mp4a too, which is the standard I-Tunes format.
