Default Spybot and AdAware together ?

Just installed Spybot and when I started to run it, I got the message
"Spybot Search Destroy has detected that you have LavaSoft AdAware installed. This may cause incompatibilities".

Should I remove my AdWare program ?

    Thanks in advance.

Checking with the Lavasoft site, they claim that this problem is solved in the latest version. I suggest you uninstall both programs and reinstall the latest of both. Keep us posted and confirm or not if the problem still exists.

I think the problem lies with AdWatch and TeaTimer, the realtime protection parts of each program. Personally, I wouldn't have either running, but you maybe need to choose one and disable the other.

I also would not install those programs they both do little if anything...

I disagree, separately, they do a job, but if your the type to click ok to every-thing, then its best left out of the system.

Together they would work against each other, would they not? like youmention arraknid, they both have realtime protection.

    My point was:

These programs are only as good as their user. If you accept every warning they throw at you, they are as useless as not having one.

Its like firewalls, i installed one on my sisters computer.
A week or two later, i went over because she wanted to show me something, when a warning appeared. She never even glanced at it, just clicked allow.

In cases like that, you may as well just not have them.

    Can't argue with that.
