no sound
after using windows recovery disk i have no sound iit says audio modem line1 voice line1 i have realtech ac97 drivers installed

I rebuilt my computere 2 yrs ago and the motherboard is msi brandK9VGM-V
I am running wiindows xp home version 2000 sp2. i have realtech ac97 and realtech hd audio drivers

Hi,
Did you actually install the drivers from the Motherboards Manufacturer's web site MSI.

yes, the drivers on the disk from msi are realtek highdefiniont audio

Hello OP,
Go under control panel, sounds and audio devices, check and see if it says anything/grey out.
Also, if you haven't done so I would suggested reinstalling your sound driver. Perhaps find an older driver if it is not working.

problem fixed had to reinstall from original windows cd audio drivers
