    Default Another error message

    This appears on my screen a few times every day. Any idea what it is?

    Looks to be associated with the Avast anti virus program. Try uninstalling the program and install the latest version plus the updates.

    The error is related to Avast, but isn't part of it. It's the debugging tool of Visual C++ reporting a coding error in part of the program, which probably doesn't affect the running of it, but is being detected by the debugger anyway. Reinstalling Avast may solve the problem but, for the future, the easiest way to sort it is to turn the debugger off.

    There are various ways of doing that, but the easiest is to start Internet Explorer, click on Tools, Internet Options, then the Advanced tab. Look down the list and under Browsing, place a tick against the following entries....

    Disable Script Debugging (Internet Explorer)
    Disable Script Debugging (Other)


    Then click on Apply and OK and restart your computer.

    Just to add, that this often happens when you install an update for .NET Framework.
