    Default no icons or start meun just wallpaper

    can't get icons to appear on desktop have run anti-virus and malware please help im on windows xp

    Hi apohis71


    Try a System Restore if you can see the start button that is.

    Press Start>All Programs>Accessories>SystemTools>System Restore.

    Restore the computer to time before this occurred.

    there's no start button i v tried alt,ctrl,delete and typed in explorer and that didn't work iv run spy-ware and everything else been on this all day

    ive done system restore and it will only go back to oct 2009 if i could get back further it would be great please help before this thing sees the swamp

    In the link below Scroll to #195 on the right where it says restore desktop Icons and taskbar save the file to the desk top double click it and run it.

    still no icons that gave me more memory

    In your post above, you mention no icons. In the title of your thread, you mention no icons or start menu. Do you have a start menu, taskbar, etc., or just blank screen with wallpaper?

    all that shows is the wall paper no start or task bar or icons
