    Default System Icons don't appear in the notification area in taskbar

    Hi.. I am using Windows Vista home premium...
    Problem i am facing is that system Icons like battery, network and volume icons don't appear in the notification area in taskbar...Under the Notification area in taskbar properties, out of 4 fields.. only clock field is marked...rest of the 3, battery, network and volume fields are block and can't be checked or unchecked... Please Help

    I've found this link that may be able to help you.

    I advise against tweeking the registry unless your confident with registry editing, AND have made a backup first, so try the first two first!
