Default entering BIOS of old computer

I have an old Gateway GP6 450 that I replaced the power supply on. After reboot, password prompt appeared. Password no longer works. I want to get into the Bios to disable the password.Tried F1thru F12,ESC and DELETE. Can't get into Bios. Any help out there?

    THANKS

During the restart try holding down the F1 key....then read the info in the window

Most older Gateways used F1 for the bios access

Use a non-usb keyboard if possible (if it has USB?)...also try the pause/break key on the keyboard if necessary....some key boards have a dual control option on the F keys

Note: Can’t find your model? Your model may be included in a corresponding "Series" category. For example:
    507GR is included in the 500F/Gx/MX Series (the lowercase "x" can stand for a B, E, H or R)

Also, most PS are specific to the older model mobos,,,,I assume you have the correct PS replacement

You can take the battery out for several hours (or overnite) or jump the cmos/bios....that should reset you to default
