    Default webcam drivers

I bought a new ACER ASPIRE ONE 531h (UK version) from a friend. It has a webcam built in but I cant access it and the hardware doesn't show up in the device manager.

My operating system is only XP professional 2002.

Would appreciate any help to get it running.

Try going to the Acer support page and clicking on Drivers.

OK, you need to find what BIOS are installed. When you first start the netbook, you'll probably see the ACER logo, but also an option to not see it in future. At the top of the screen, you'll see Chicony, Liteon or Suyin. Just install the driver that corresponds with that.

Unzip and extract the contents, then click on setup or setup.exe.
