Default Menu and top tool bar in Mozilla Firefox

My top tool bar in Windows 7 is not showing in my HP PC.
I need my menu bar. How do I get it back?

    Hi Lynette,

    Welcome to Help2Go!

If you mean the bar that contains > File Edit View Bookmarks Tools Help as shown below.

Right click in any vacant space in the browser just under the URL Search Engine or on the Gray X and this little window will pop up.

Left click on Menu Bar and that should put a checkmark in front of the Menu Bar to enable it as seen in front of the other 2 choices that are already checked in the example above.

Let us know if this fixes your problem.

As well as donna's solution, pressing the [Alt] key will bring the same menu up in a variety of programs.
    Always remember you're unique.

    Visitor message by Lynette:
Sorry, but that tidbit didn't work for me, any other suggestions?
    Hi Lynette,

Just found your visitor message above. Please post your reply in your thread. I will then get an e-mail saying that you have responded. No e-mail is sent if you post it as a visitor message.

Were you able to get access to the Menu Bar window at all?

Did you try MrDarn's suggestion? Alt > View > Toolbars Same window should come up.

If this did not help, try the following >

    • Close Firefox Browser down completely.
    • In Windows, click Start, then Run
    • Type firefox -safe-mode into the Run box. (please note space between firefox and -safe-mode) Firefox should start up with a Firefox Safe Mode dialog.
    • Put a Check mark in the Reset toolbars and controls box.
    • Click Make Changes and Restart to restart Firefox in normal mode.

Please keep us informed to your progress.
