    Default Guest account

    Please could you advise me? I've attempted to access the internet via the 'guest account' on a computer, on Windows XP. I'm told I can't access the internet via the guest account, that it can only be accessed through the 'administrators account'. I've attempted to change the settings on the guest account in order to make the internet accessible but, there's no 'option' on the guest account in the control panal (user accounts) that allows me to make the internet accessible. Please can you tell me, is this a 'windows security/privacy' feature or am I doing something wrong?

    This is usually a problem with a dial-up connection, but can happen under certain other conditions.

    Check this out. It may help.

    This is not a problem of windows. Anyone can access the internet through a guest account with limited access to explorer settings. This may be a problem of your connection settings.
    Check or reinstall your connection settings.

    @ascon

    Internet access is only available when the network connection is 'always on' as with a broadband connection. A dial-up connection has to be started from within the user account, and that option isn't available on a Guest account.
