    Default Outlook Express

Their is something going on with my Outlook Express, when I try to close it does nothing, so i hit the X to close and then i get a box that says (END NOW OR CANCEL). So i hit end now and it takes 20 seconds or so then closes out. Then it wants me to send a report to Microsoft. I emptied almost every thing out of the folders thinking it might be getting full, but it still does not want to close. I have to force it to close. I figure it will crash sometime in the close future. Does somebody know what is going on?

    Which version of Outlook Express?

    APPLIES TO
    • Windows Internet Explorer 9
    • Windows Internet Explorer 8
    • Windows Internet Explorer 7 for Windows XP
    • Windows Internet Explorer 7 in Windows Vista
    • Windows 7 Enterprise
    • Windows 7 Home Basic
    • Windows 7 Home Premium
    • Windows 7 Professional
    • Windows 7 Starter
    • Windows 7 Ultimate
    • Windows Vista Business
    • Windows Vista Enterprise
    • Windows Vista Home Basic
    • Windows Vista Home Premium
    • Windows Vista Starter
    • Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0, when used with:
      • Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition
      • Microsoft Windows XP Professional
      • Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 Update Rollup 2
      • Microsoft Windows XP Tablet PC Edition
    Repair or reinstall

Because both Internet Explorer and Outlook Express are integrated into Windows itself, doing so is a little more complicated than for most programs. Microsoft has therefore prepared a detailed guide to reinstall or repair both Internet Explorer and Outlook Express.

Be sure to read the article carefully and follow only the steps for your version of Windows and Service Packs.
