    Hi bob1,

    Welcome to Help2Go!

    I do apologize for the delay in responding. The reason being for the delay is I wanted to research this program further before I offered my opinion. Incredimail is considered an undesirable program to use by the Experts because of the conflicting information below:

    Is IncrediMail Spyware?

    If you have heard or read somewhere that IncrediMail is spyware and took a look into its folders to see what IncrediMail may reveal about when (if) it phones home, you may have stumbled into the RunTime folder. The folder's contents looks suspicious, and if you delete it IncrediMail will start accumulating it again.

    The RunTime folder's raison d'Ítre ("reason for existence") is not collecting data about your usage of IncrediMail, however. The RunTime folder is merely a cache that allows IncrediMail to operate faster by re-using data. That's why the data in this folder will start to pile up when you use IncrediMail, but that's also why it doesn't really hurt (except speed-wise) if you delete it.
    IncrediMail Collects Anonymous Usage Data

    While not spyware, IncrediMail is still collecting some harmless anonymous usage statistics. It counts how often

    * IncrediMail Letters
    * Animations
    * Other Style Box content
    * Skin and
    * Notifiers

    are used.
    I personally would not recommend Incredimail to anyone due to the conflicting comments above. Deleting the RunTime folder cache does slow down the ability for the use of those cute little applications that you have used previously, yet the program itself slows the computer down that it is installed upon. The article above goes on to say that, "While not spyware, IncrediMail is still collecting some harmless anonymous usage statistics" and that is why the professionals consider it to be Spyware because it "phones home" with those user details.

    If you insist on using this program, for which I personally can not and will not support, I do believe in allowing you to have the freedom of choice and I will provide you with a link where you may find someone who will help you.
