    Default mp3 driver

I picked me up this cool little 2 gig mp3 player. At first it was recognized and I was prompted to name the device, which I did. Since, I have, for other reasons, had to clear my DRM and empty my recycle bin. In any case, the player is not recognized anymore. I went through this with my son's player and the solultion was as simple as updating the driver. I sort of recall going to the Device Manager and updating from there, but as I look now, I see no listing for portable devices or any sort of match. The brand is a Rhythm. Never heard of 'em, and as I enter the model no. + driver to search, I get nothing for a driver download. What am I missing here?

Hi Sailor, In Device Manager open (click +) for USB controllers and see if it's in there. There's a great little utility that will not only tell you what USB devices are plugged in, but also what has been installed in the past .. this may be of some help USBDeview - Free software downloads and software reviews - CNET Download.com
