Default Cannot Install Windows 7 from USB.

So, I booted up an old computer only to find that System32 was missing, so I decided to try and upgrade to windows 7 professional.

When I attempt to boot from a USB drive, I get a blank screen.

I suspected at first that this had to do with my GFX card (A Radeon), but adding a second USB with the drivers and an autorun file based on official Microsoft instructions didn't solve anything.

Any idea what's wrong? I'm running on an HP Pavillion a1520y with an Intel Pentium 4. I need this to work so badly...
