    Default Network error

Hi, I am having trouble with my wireless network. It will not stay on or connect. My computer is the access point I have a cable modem and a d-link DI-524 Router. I get the error: "Windows has detected an IP address conflict . Anther computer on this network has the same IP address as this computer".

    Hi zaneangel,

Power cycle your modem/router. To achieve this just, unplug the devices and allow a few minutes (I usually wait 5 -10) before you plug them back in again. Wait a couple minutes then try to connect.

Sorry tried that a million times. that is not the problem. I'm thinking my DI-524 is shot. Might have to buy a new router.

Try reinstalling the adapter..check the device manager...also you can try a USB adapter from a friend or reinstall your software
(you will need the friend's software if you try it)

You can not use windows wireless and the D link software together...you can disable windows wireless in properties via the adapter

I suspect the adapter too and many times Windows and the proprietary software are the problem...pick one or the other

USB Wireless adapters are reasonably priced
