    OK. Thanks. see below too.

    Try using System File Checker,
System File Checker merely makes sure that all system files are where they should be. The sfc /scannow command scans all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with correct Microsoft versions.
Open an Elevated Command Prompt window. To do so, click Start, then type cmd in the Start Search box. In the results area, right-click cmd.exe, and then click Run as administrator. You will be prompted to type the password for an administrator account. Click Continue if you are the administrator or type the administrator password. Then, click Continue.

At the command prompt, type the following command, sfc /scannow and then press ENTER.

The scan may take some time to complete. Windows will repair any corrupted or missing files that it finds. If required, Windows may prompt you to insert the Operating System CD.

That's good to know! I'm glad the scan ran error free. We have pretty much covered all the bases on system files. Your event log didn't show anything relating to shut down issues either just regular windows errors as they always show. Your free space is also adequate on the hard drive. I wanted to cover all those areas for you and we have from the beginning rest assured those areas look good.

screen starts flickering and the computer shuts down automatically.
Flickering screens, odd behavior, and shutdowns unexpectedly points to what I would think is a possible hardware related issue as in power supply, ram, loose cable connection too. If it were my computer I would take the side-panel off and do a thorough visual inspection of things, first looking for dust & dirt build up around fans and elsewhere that would cause a possible heat issue. Then check cables by re-seating them. I would re-seat the Ram modules too. I do suspect a possible power supply issue from your description of the last problem "quoted" above. If there is anything connected to the computer USB devices like printer, external drive, consider disconnecting those devices too and see if that would help. An Intermittent problem like this is difficult to pin-point even on site, let alone through the forum method. I'll confirm if you continue to have flickering screens and shutdowns like that, the power supply would be my first suspect. A failing power supply or intermittent power supply can cause a host of odd issues that you seem to have been experiencing. There not that expensive nor are they difficult to install. I welcome anyone to present there ideas on the matter too!

Thank you again. I appreciate you "sticking with" my issue. Next step is to check all cords that run to the PC. I do keep the tower vacuumed regularly and have even carefully vacuumed the inside so I don't believe over heating is the issue.

    I'll keep you posted.
