Default how to create a recovery disc without problems

    Hi,
    new hp windows 7
I'm trying to create recovery disc and I started it and didn't get the dvdr
in fast enough and it started, you can't stop it once it starts.
So after it copied the partition or tryed to.
I started and put the dvdr in this time but I wonder if I didn't ruin the
part of the drive I need to make the recovery disc.
How can I check to see if the dvdr I had in there has the information
I need in case down the road I need it?
Would I just put the dvdr in the computer and open it at the hard drive?
    Maybe see the files there?
I had w-xp before and I had no trouble making recovery disc there.

    Hi jacobixx8,

Create a system recovery disk in Windows 7

I'd start over using a new disk and follow these instructions
Create a system recovery disk in Windows 7 - Guides & Tutorials

    And here too http://www.geekstogo.com/forum/topic...p-repair-disk/

Not sure what HP'S policy is. You may also consider calling them too, to see what they might have available for you in the way of disks.
