    Default Task Manager Problem

    Hi All

Can anyone help me and explain why i no longer have a task manager dialogue box like there used to be

instead its just a plain white dialogue box and it also displays a CPU usage icon on the bottom RHS of the task bar by the clock

and an icon of a pc on the LHS of the task bar next to the start menu.

when i press ctrl/alt/del it appears and i can only close it by right clicking on the CPU icon and selecting close.

    Regards Cremora

Task Manager might be set to Hide When Minimized.

When this setting is activated, Task Manager only appears as a green graph icon in the notification area, rather than appearing in the taskbar as other programs do when minimized.

    TO FIX:
Open Task Manager by right-clicking the taskbar and then clicking Task Manager.

Click the Options menu, and then make sure that there is no check mark next to Hide When Minimized.

The next time you minimize Task Manager, it will appear on the taskbar.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi All

Thanks to all for your valuable input.
Whilst i was waiting for your response I
double clicked at the top of the dialogue box (right on the edge) and the headers
    all appeared as normal.
I don.t know how it originally happened but it,s fine now

Once again thanks to you all
