    Default pop-up

My wife's computer pops up a box when you go to E-Mail saying; [Security information................this page contains both secure and nonsecure items..........Do you want to display the nonsecure items..........Yes/No /More info.
I don't care about secure and nonsecure items, I want this pop up to stop. I tried everything in security center but i can't stop it. I hate pop ups on computers.
    the computer is Vista/windows 8/AVG 2012/Spybot S&D/Superantispyware.
Why has all of a sudden this started.
    Thanks for any help

It is actually for your protection...but I agree it is annoying too

    Cause
This is a very old explanation

If a secure Web page uses frames and one or more of the frames does not load, either because you cancel the load or because the load request does not work, Internet Explorer generates the preceding error message.

This issue occurs because Internet Explorer determines that the successfully loaded frames are in the Internet domain and the internally generated error frames are on the local computer, and therefore sets the current zone to mixed. This triggers a security error message that alerts you that the page contains secure and non-secure items.

In this case, the error message does not indicate a security problem; the error message merely indicates that the page has not loaded all of the secure content fully.
This behavior is by design. You cannot disable this error message.
    More info from MS
'This Page Contains Both Secure and Non-Secure Items' Error Message

You can try the following below:
To disable(or enable) the warning box in internet explorer, follow the steps below:
    1. Go to Tools -> Internet Options -> Security
    2. Select the 'Security' tab
    3. Click the 'Custom Level' button
    4. In the 'Miscellaneous' section change "Display mixed content" to Enable (this will disable the warning dialogue box) and always display the mixed content.

Why has all of a sudden this started.
Usually because someone changed the setting, but it could have been a Windows Update replaced a file or files, and to err on the safe (more secure) side, the update reset the settings back to the defaults. That's my guess anyway - assuming all along you have been keeping your systems updated and properly secured/scanned.

IN THEORY, you should never have to run weekly scans - IF you keep your system and security programs updated, your anti-malware solution running in real-time, and you avoid risky behavior like participating in illegal filesharing via torrents or P2P sites.

But theory and real-world don't always see eye-to-eye. So everyone should periodically run supplemental scans, with a different, "on demand" (not running in real-time) scanner. I use and recommend Malwarebytes's Anti-Malware (MBAM) for supplemental scanning.
