I use Microsoft Security Essentials, MBAM and SuperAntiSpyware (and also run CCleaner periodically).

    Do this while I review,

Clean out your temporary internet files and temp files.

Download TFC by OldTimer http://oldtimer.geekstogo.com/TFC.exe to your desktop.

    Double-click TFC.exe to run it.

Note: If you are running on Vista, right-click on the file and choose Run As Administrator

TFC will close all programs when run, so make sure you have saved all your work before you begin.

    * Click the Start button to begin the cleaning process.
    * Depending on how often you clean temp files, execution time should be anywhere from a few seconds to a minute or two.
    * Please let TFC run uninterrupted until it is finished.

Once TFC is finished it should restart your computer. If it does not, please manually restart the computer yourself to ensure a complete cleaning.

    Hi,

Can you tell me about this entry from your Hijackthis log:

    O23 - Service: COMODO Internet Security Helper Service (cmdAgent) - COMODO - C:\Program Files\COMODO\COMODO Internet Security\cmdagent.exe

Did you install that Firewall? Tell me about that....

cmdagent.exe is a Comodo Agent Service from Comodo belonging to Comodo Firewall.

The Cmdagent.exe file belongs to the Comodo Firewall and is known to cause 100% CPU usage problems on Windows computers. Additionally, if you try to end the cmdagent.exe process from the Processes tab of the Task Manager, you may get an “Access Denied” error message.
Your Internet Explorer is crashing, I think it's an add on. We will get to that.

Yes! lets ditch it, Boot the computer to Safe Mode try removing it from there. If that fails Get the Application Remover tool or revo! Links provided for your convenience.

    http://www.appremover.com/
    Or
Revo Uninstaller Pro - Uninstall Software, Remove Programs easily, Forced Uninstall

Post a fresh Hijack log after completion.

    How's this?

Do I need to install another firewall? (I think I installed Comodo as it was recommended by help2go)
