You mean I don't need a firewall?
- 06-20-2012 04:47 PM #22
Windows 7 does not need a 3ed party Firewall. Don't clog the system up with to much Security....
Please check the Program Files Folder for ----> C:\Program Files\COMODO\COMODO Internet. If a "COMODO" folder is located right click and delete please.
Have you noticed any difference in the operation of the computer since the removal of the firewall?

Early days but yes, it does seem to be running smoother

Ok, run Internet Explorer in No Add ons mode too, just to see if that stops Internet Explorer 9 from acting up. If you still experience issues slow downs etc! Uninstall Spybot too as a test to see if it helps.

OK, I'll see how it goes. When I restart will IE automaticaly with add ons or whgatever mode I last used?
- 06-20-2012 05:14 PM #27
No! You will need to do below "instructions" again to run it with "No add ons"
Click Start, and then type Internet Explorer in the Start Search box.
Click Internet Explorer (No Add-ons). Internet Explorer opens without add-ons, toolbars, or plug-ins.
After you restart the computer run Internet Explorer like you normally would in regular mode. If it crashes or acts up then do the instructions above. This will tell us if an add on in Internet Explorer is causing issues, I happen to think one is. Because from the Mini tool box report under Application errors there are a lot of errors associated with Internet Explorer.
